Carbon & Water Footprints

Transparency. Responsibility. Change.
At LEYERS, we believe in fashion that not only looks good but does good. Every choice we make—every fabric, every process, every stitch—is driven by a deep commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and conserving water resources.
Fashion is one of the most resource-intensive industries, contributing to pollution, excessive water use, and carbon emissions. But we’re changing that.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Reducing Carbon Footprint
Carbon emissions in fashion come from multiple sources—raw material production, textile processing, dyeing, transportation, and overproduction. Our approach minimizes impact at every stage:
On-Demand Production (M2C Model): We manufacture only what is needed, eliminating excessive inventory waste.
Sustainable Materials: Organic cotton, linen, and recycled fabrics have significantly lower carbon emissions than conventional textiles.
Eco-Friendly Factories: We partner with manufacturers committed to renewable energy and ethical labor practices.
Conscious Shipping: We optimize our supply chain to reduce emissions from transportation.
Water Conservation
Water is life, yet fashion is one of the world’s largest consumers of freshwater. A single cotton T-shirt can require over 2,700 liters of water to produce—but at LEYERS, we’re doing things differently:
Organic Cotton: Uses 91% less water compared to conventional cotton.
Linen: A naturally low-water crop requiring minimal irrigation.
Recycled Polyester: Saves thousands of liters of water by repurposing existing plastic waste.
Responsible Dyeing & Processing: We work with dyeing facilities that use closed-loop water systems to minimize wastewater pollution.

Breakdown of Our Materials’ Impact
Material Carbon Footprint (kg CO₂ per kg) Water Footprint (liters per kg)
Organic Cotton 2.35 kg CO₂ 1,200 liters (vs. 10,000L for conventional cotton)
Linen 1.8 kg CO₂ 300 liters (one of the lowest water-consuming fabrics)
Recycled Polyester 2.5 kg CO₂ 0 liters (uses existing plastic waste)
Wool 3.7 kg CO₂ 50 liters (biodegradable & long-lasting)
Cashmere 5.0 kg CO₂ 80 liters (ethically sourced for sustainability)

A Future of Fashion with Less Impact
We are on a mission to redefine fashion’s footprint. By choosing LEYERS, you’re not just wearing clothes—you’re making a statement for a more sustainable world.
Less waste. Less water. Less carbon. More intention.
Recycle. Reuse. Reimagine. This is the future of fashion. This is LEYERS.
